ABOUT US
The Vance Special Projects Committee is a group of individuals who have volunteered their time, talents, and ideas to provide the Vance community with clean, fun, and wholesome events to be enjoyed by children and adults alike. We are a 'not for profit' group. Special Projects hosts the town events to include the annual Easter Egg Hunt, the Spring/Summer picnic, Fall Fest, and the annual Christmas Dinner and Festivities. We also plan events to include retirement parties for retiring town employees, 'Swearing In' ceremonies for the town officials, fund raisers to benefit the town and it's citizens, and dedication ceremonies. We are continually growing and expanding the number of events we host.
We currently have 15 members on the committee. Vance Special Projects is an open membership group. Anyone wishing to donate their time, ideas, and talents in helping to create fun, wholesome, and successful events for our community is more than welcome to join us. Please contact any member of the committee to get information about meeting times and dates.
DONATIONS
Vance Special Projects is totally non-profit. We do our best to raise money to host our town’s events. However, we can fall short of our goals to provide the town with bigger and better events due to lack of funds. Anyone wishing to donate to the Vance Special Projects Committee can make a donation at the 1st Financial Bank in Vance, send a check to Vance Special Projects, 18811 Union Road, Vance, AL 35490, or drop your donation off at the Vance Town Hall. You may also contact any Special Projects member with your donation. Any and all help is sincerely appreciated. We strive to provide our community with fun wholesome events for the children and adults to enjoy. As our community grows, so does our commitment to provide more events for everyone to enjoy. But we need everyone’s help to make it happen. Please make checks payable to: Vance Special Projects Committee.
NOTE: For those of you who are new to the community, Trion is the original name our town of Vance used to have during the Civil War era.
In fact, the town was established in 1830 and was named Trion until 1872.
